December -- phase 1
Here's my little Christmas Tree light helper.
Steve took Jacob camping the first week of December, so Lukas and I decorated the house. He had a blast helping me with the tree. (and he was such a good little boy!)
This is a layout I did for a challenge for the Scrappin_Fun Elsie Challenges. Yes, they are washing Steve's truck in December -- with NO SHOES on! Heck, it's amost 80 degrees out there!
Here's one of Steve taking Lukas for a scooter ride while Jacob rides his bike ("In the road")
This is a big deal, because Jacob is only allowed in the front yard if we are with him.
Here's another Layout for the challenges on Scrappin_Fun.
Jacob was acting silly and I caught a few good shots.

Our NEW house is ON THE WAY!
Today was the first day I've been up to see our land, which really isn't just land anymore! Our builder has started our house and just LOOK AT IT! I'm so excited.
This is the front view.
It's 3 stories.. Bottom level is all garage and storage.
Second level is the living area, office, laundry, eat in kitchen and extra "game-room"
The third level has 3 bedrooms. The master suite plus 2 bedrooms for the boys.
This photo was taken while I'm standing in the "game-room" looking out the back. There will be french doors and a screened in porch.
This photo was taken while standing on the porch. We met one of our neighboors and he said this is high-tide. So it should be as far as the water will come up. He let us go check out his back yard and he had a cool deck and "boardwalk" out to the water. We couldn't put in a big boat, but we could put in canoes or a kayak. (the larger body of water is to the right of this photo... through a little inlet).
Another photo of the front of the house.

New LO -- Introducing Christopher! - (guess who game)
This photo was taken last weekend at Lowery Park Zoo. This is my nephew Christopher E. This little guy is a total HOOT! Smart, Smart Smart! He is amazing.
Journaling:
This is my nephew Christopher. He truly is the smartest kid I know (or have ever known). On this day, he informed me that he wasn't 7 or even 8 years old, but that he was 7.97 years old. Smart & Funny -- gotta love him. Oct 15, 2006
(BTW, his birthday is Oct 18)

Layout for 8.5x11 Kraft swap
This photo was taken yesterday at the Clearview United Methodist Church Pumpkin patch. We go there every year and pick out a few pumpkins. This was the only photo I could get with both boys --kinda facing the same direction.
Title is Fabulous Fall, but the funny thing is... Jacob is wearing flip-flops! LOL!

This is a layout I put together for an Elsie challenge on the "just a little Scrappin' Fun" blog.
Actually, I doubled up and used the sketch on the Got Challenges blog too.
These photos were taken on Jacob's first trip to Disney World. He thinks Buzz is the coolest!
I handmade the stars and arrow using a tranparency sheet and a silver paint pen. I also used the paint pen on the little stickers and around the border. Fun!

This photo was taken on Oct 7, 2006 at Fort DeSoto Beach.
The boys had a blast playing in the sand and water. It's great living in Florida!

THIS is a funky layout I did for an Elsie Challenge. Fill your background. I obviously used lots of old tags to fill the background.
Easy!

This is a photo of Lukas and I at John & Karin's house.

bad for a 7 year old huh?
Journaling reads: When I count my blessings, I count
you twice.

Layout for today
This layout is for the Survivor contest I'm in on Scrappin_Fun. I think this is either round 2 or 3, I can't remember. We were sent the following items to be used on a layout.
2 small mosaic tiles (on bottom left corner)
1 dymo label "Embrace" (in slant pocket)
Orange and yellow ribbon (on word strips)
Large Orange snap(dot for the letter J)
Wooden Star(on corner of photo)
Slash pocket (under photo)
6x6 square orange Mulberry (under photo and used as word strips)
stickers: knife, spoon and fork. -- (which I promptly cut up and placed on the tag with the Letter L on top) It's hard to tell, but the stickers are silver and the letter L is black.
This is a recent photo of Lukas playing with his dad.

Spinybacked orbweaver spider
Thanks to Dad and Robin (and Lu)
for researching the spider in my front yard.
You can find out more about it here: http://www.floridanature.org/species.asp?species=Gasteracantha_cancriformis
This little spider is tenacious! We've had rain almost everyday
since last week and each time it rains the web gets knocked down.
Well, this little guy(or gal, I don't know) is not going to give up this spot. He can create
this web in less than an hour... I'm serious! I've been keeping my eye on him!
Here are some photos taken today
on my lunch break.
It was getting a little pissed that I was
getting so close.

CREEPY!
This web has been outside our front door for a few days.
Today was the first day I could actually see the spider spinning this web. The web is about 5 feet long. It's huge. So I go to take a look at this spider and I see this strange thing.. kinda looks like
a crab! It's got these orangish/redish spikes on it's back.
YUCK!
