Just a couple layouts for the Tres Jolie swap

There are only 3 groups for this swap ...with 4 swappers each.. so this will

be an easy one. I have to create a landscape 11x8.5 layout for each group
This is the first landscape specific swap... and I love it.
I decided to use this swap as a starter for a "BOOK OF SMILES"
Each page will have a photo with a smile plus a quote, poem or cute 'smile' title.
So here's my layouts for group 1 and 2. I should be able to work on Group 3 SOON!

SWAP crazy

So right now I'm in 3 swaps.
Thankfully I finished the first one this past week. It's a SOLID background swap. I'm in 3 groups. Group1 is 12x12 and the layout below is for that group (called Looks Who's Two) My favorite Layout I made for that group is for Carrie. She wanted a Halloween theme and I couldn't find much Halloween PP, so I printed off some Free Digi Paper from Scrap Street. I would share it but it's already packaged up. (it looks cool!)
Group 2 is another 12x12 group. Here's that layout:
AND now for group 3. 8.5x11 layout.
I'm in 2 other swaps right now.. I'm hosting both.
One is a Crate Paper 8.5x11 swap with 8 groups... yes
I said 8. Groups 1-4 have 6 swappers each -- and we will be
using the new Brunch Collection line..

YUMMY PAPER!!!
And in Groups 5-8 we will be using the Baby Bee line (SO SWEET!)
After I'm done with this swap... I'll have 2 completed albums.
I'm thinking they may become gifts... we'll see how attached I get. LOL!
NOW for the 3rd SWAP. We will be using the new My Mind's Eye
Tres Jolie Collection. This is also an 8.5x11 swap but we'll be doing landscape
only designs.
You can see all 8 collections of the Tres Jolie Paper Here:
Thankfully the swaps I'm hosting aren't due until July 31st.. So I have some
time!

Both on Antibiotics.

They stayed home March 29th and 30th.

March 31st -- boys were feeling better so we head over to Sims Park for a little while.

April 1st - Took boys to a super super close beach park.. (very cool little park, I'm sure we'll go there often)

Last Challenge on TI Amazing race.

For the last challenges at TI -- we had to do the following for the Detour challenge:
MAILED OR PAILED
In MAILED you will create a mini album out of envelopes...the size and amount of pages is up to you - the only requirement for this one is that the mini albums theme is about you celebrating why you love being you, love being a girl, love being female...etc..

..in PAILED....you will create a mini round album that fits nicely in an altered PAIL....the size and amount of pages is up to you - and the same requirement for this one is that the theme is about you celebrating why you love being you, love being a girl, love being female...etc....

I decided to MAIL IT. Used some Glassine Envelopes and stitched them on the left side
to form a little mini album. Each page gives reasons why I love being a woman.
THen in the envelopes I typed up some poems about Women!

#1 I can grow little people in my body
#2 I have the ability to love and to love unconditionally.

#3 I can show emotion without fear.
#4 I have the ability to talk on the phone, make dinner, wash the floor,
and change a diaper all at the same time!!!

#5 I have a large selection of shoes to pick from.
#6 I have the choice to have a career or family
OR BOTH!

#7 I have the opportunity to be a mother, wife, sister
daughter, aunt, niece, granddaughter... all in one person.
#8 We (women) bring JOY and HOPE to the world.

#9 I have the power to do just about anything.
#10 This is how GOD made me!

TI race entries -- for week 5

Which I kinda bombed on! Oops!
(time was not on my side that week)
We had to come up with a party idea and make
1- a card -(invite)
2- party gift
3- some deco for the party.

THE INVITE (front)

INVITE (inside)

The party prize -- little basket/purse with chocolates
inside.

Wine charms (decor)
Here's where I think I bombed.... I kept changing
my mind and everything I made didn't turn out
right! This was so frustrating!

Oh Well!

So I wasn't able to finish a layout a day this month. Since we are moving in a
week, that sort of took most of my time.
Here are a few other things I've worked on for the Month of Feb
Here's a photo of Lukas in his car seat. He's not too fond of that seat.. however now it tends to be a little more willing to ride.

Here I am being silly! Wearing my Valentine's sunglasses.

Here's Lukas playing in Grandma and Papa Folsom's front yard. (in November 06)

Update on the Timeless Inspiration Race (contest)

So, I'm now in the 4th round... and I've not been put into the pitstop as of yet.
Keep your fingers crossed that I make it through this week too.
Even if I get put in the pit stop, I can still play. They will pull people from the
pit stop each week...
Here's a few things I've made in the past 2 weeks.

For this one, I had to make a door knob hanger.
I made this for my neice Sara who will be a wonderful Artist one day.
We had to use 3 different fonts, swirls, stars and several different ribbons.
I really like how this came out.

This LO had to be created with 10 different patterned papers
which had to include 4 different manufacturers.

For this one, we had to draw or create a sketch and then a layout to go with it. So, here's the sketch. I used Photoshop to create the sketch.

And here's the LO. We had to use Red and Black, 5 different fonts, and 5 different ribbons and a triangle. (I think)

Feb 14th LO of the day

Here's Lukas laughing about Jacob's Bike helmet on his head.
He's too funny!
THis challenge was to use the colors - red, black and white, doodling (on letters)
and 3 different ribbons.

Feb 13th LO of the day

These are photos of my Dad and my youngest son Lukas... at Christmas time.

THis challenge was to use 4 photos, arrow, ghost shapes (the hearts -- stamped), and the color combo - red, brown and blue.

Feb 12th LO of the day

This Challenge was to use the poem Hugs & Kisses.
yeah, I used PINK!

Feb 11th LO of the day

This is my nephew Landon (again, LOL!)
The challenge was to use 3 different Patterned papers
from 3 different manufacturers. I used Chatterbox, Junkitz
and Bo-Bunny Press. PLUS we had to use 3 bookplates.

Feb 10th LO of the day

The scan on this one looks bad!
Challenge was to use a black background
and 23 flowers.

Feb 9th LO of the day

For this challenge we had to use all the colors of the rainbow.
I used my versamark pad and stamped the flowers and then
applied chalk.

Feb 8th LO of the day

For this challenge we were to use one large photo and 3 wallet sized photos, plus stamping and stitching, a charm and a bookplate.
I was able to sneak them all in.

Feb 7th LO of the day

Challenge was to create a Winter themed LO.
This is as close as it's going to get -- No winter pictures
here!
So, this is my nephew Landon -- I heard his mom call
him the Lan Man and it stuck.
Printed the photo on white bazzill
Used some new BG, and those 2 snowflakes on the photo
were made from shrinky dinks a long time ago...

Isn't this little guy the cutest thing? You can't tell here, but
he's got pretty red hair and beautiful blue eyes.
I love him SO!

and shapes cut from patterned paper.

So, this is for my "Freebie" LO of the day on Scrappin_Fun
and my entry for the Timeless Inspirations Race this week.
(YES, I made it into the 3rd round and haven't even
seen the pit stop.. YES!) I love those Scenic Route raw
chipboard letters I got over at the "Doodle" -- perfect size
and I can paint them any COLOR I want!
Also, the PP is from Sandy Lion -- cute huh?

Dang! He is CUTE!

Feb 4th LO of the day

Doesn't he look huge on that little bike?
Well these photos were taken right before Christmas,
so now (thanks to Santa) Jacob has a new
bike that fits him much better. LOL!
