Retreat layouts
I was able to get a few layouts done despite my cold that hit me like a ton of
rocks last Thursday. The retreat was extremely fun and totally needed! I can't wait until
the next retreat!
Oh, and Last Friday was my birthday so it was great to get away for that special day
!
PLUS I was able to get my birthday gift at Hobby Lobby. I wasn't expecting to find suchawesome deals... I bought 2 American Crafts D-Ring albums for $10 each! That is an AWESOME deal. Usually I have to purchase them online for $20 each and pay shipping
on top of that! I was so stoked! (they were on sale for 50% off) PLus they had all their
stickers for 50% too! I stocked up on some alpha stickers... LOVE those things!
Anyway, here are a few things I made over the weekend.

More Swap layouts

Layout by Jill
Photos of Steve and I hiking
in Colorado.
Another layout by Jill
Photos taken in Charleston, SC
during a Hootie and the Blow Fish
concert. Guessing around 1994 or 95
Layout by Dianne
Sorry Dianne... I changed the title on this one
so I could use it with this photo.
Photo taken in Colorado Springs, CO
in 2000 (or so)
This was taken at our Apartment on
Academy -- small little place we rented together.
Layout by Robin
Photos of Terrilyn and I at her parents
mountain house in GA back in 1994 or so.
They have a thing called Clover Fest every
June... cause when her parents bought this
vacation home in the mountains, her mother found
a four leaf clover in the backyard. It is a beautiful home!
We partied so hard that week... and LAUGHed so much... man, those were the days.
Layout by Patsy -- old old swap layout.
Well, the photos are a bit older.
These photos were taken at Disney world
when there was only the Magic Kingdom.
This is me and my Mom.
Layout by Jill
Sorry Jill, had to change the title on this one
too.
Rainbow photos I took while living out in
Castle Rock, CO. I was driving home from work when I spotted this beautiful site!
Layout by Amanda. Older swap layout
This is my Grandmother Smith in 1994
at my parents home at Christmas.
She still looks just like this today!
I really miss her (she lives in NC)
Layout by Amanda.
Photos of my Grandmother Patterson
(mom's Mom)
The second photo is my Aunt Cathy, Grandmama and my Mom (Rhonda).
Layout by Tamera.
Photos taken LONG time ago
(probably around 1993 or 94)
Girls night out!
If I remember correctly, this Layout was created by Jenn K.
Not your typical Halloween layout, but the colors matched with the photos so I went for it.
Why not, it's better than them still sitting in an old box.
Photos of my brother and I at Halloween.
(along with my doggie Lucy)
This was during a time when you didn't get to choose what you would be at Halloween... you just wore what you got... and were happy about it.
Looks like we were a couple of Easter bunnies...LOL!
Layout by Tamera.
Photos taken during the Aspen Colorado Hotair
Balloon festival.
Layout by Patsy from an older swap.
I had the hardest time trying to figure out what
photos to go on this... and I had these 2 sitting on my desk and thought about the amazing changes that have occured in only 2 short years.
Layout by Tamera
I wasn't sure how the photos were suppose to be placed... but this worked out oK.
These photos were from a Mixer in College with the Pi Kapps. FUN TIMES!
Layout by Michelle.
I couldn't remeber how this one was suppose to go... but Lukas climbing up on the bed went perfect with this cool title Michelle made.
Lukas climbs on everything... even climbs out of his crib now!

SCRAPATHON in progress
This week Scrappin_Fun is having a SCRAPATHON
for our 6th week in the Summer Scrap-off.
We can make 2 points for every single layout over 6x6
completed my Tuesday at Midnight.
We have a blog where this is posted -- if you care to take a look
http://just-a-little-scrappin-fun.blogspot.com/
I'm on team 2 and we are still in First place -- but only by 8 points.
So, I'll show you what I"ve done so far and then it's back to scrapping the
night away! (if my boys will allow...LOL!)
Jacob tells me in the van today (on our way back from
the pool) that he wants to be "one of those Disney guys!"
SO I ask.. what do you mean one of those Disney Guys.
He says "When I grow up, I want to be a guy who works at
Disney as a Power Ranger!" Then he goes into telling me all about the moves he would make and his full name (which I've forgotten.. but it was cute!)
Anyway, I did this layout for a few things...
1- the scrapathon
2- Sketch at http://yayaprincessblog.blogspot.com/
3- Challenge at http://www.scrappygirldesigns.com/messageboard/viewtopic.php?t=2029
This is just a quick one using some old pictures I had of Jacob. Such a BIG OLE SMILE! He is really an awesome KID!
Another quick one -- 12x6. This size is starting to grow on me. This is Lukas playing at the park in New Port Richey. Using up some old Autumn Leaves stuff... I've got plenty of it.

Layout by Jill
Steve working on some old furniture from his Dad's house.
(just sanding away!)
This one isn't from a swap, it was a RAK from
Lynnise ... and I've been holding it for about year
or so. The photos are of Jacob eating some yummy
watermelon on the 4th of July.
Layout by Robin
Photo of Lukas on his 2nd Birthday.
I love the cool punched doodling on this one!
Layout by Amanda
Quick close up... almost too close. LOL!
Layout by Dianne.
Jacob coloring Easter Eggs
Layout by Jenn
LOVE these papers by scenic route.
Photo of my neice Sara... she just turned
13 in June.+By+Natalie.jpg)
This one is SO old... I think I've been holding it for
well over a year.. maybe even 2. Anyway, it's used now and I
like it! THe photos are of my 2 boys and my neice and nephew.
The layout was by Natalie.

Hump day and new stuff
Hi -- today is Hump day and just another day at work... tons to work on but
I'd rather be doing something else.
Here's a few new things I've worked on lately.
THis was for a challenge on Scrappin_Fun. We had to use at least 100 of one item.. I used rhinestones...
Here's another one for the 100 item challenge... Used up some old brads.
This is a 2 pager (a rare thing for me)
But used a Becky Fleck sketch and I'm happy with the results...
I've seen this face 1000 times... Lukas is so little and gets hurt so fast... poor little guy! I showed him this layout and he grabbed his ear and said "OWIE!"
Here's one of me... I did this one for a design team try out... that I DIDn'T get... oh well.. I like how it turned out.

I did this one for a DT call and combined it with the challenges
at Scrappin_fun.
I like how it turned out... and I'm using some of my stash! yipee!
Another one using ONLY stash items.
Jacob and Lukas acting goofy with their hats.

Some recent Stuff -- First week of July

First on the list is this altered frame.
I made this for a online crop at http://www.scrappygirldesigns.com/
Cute site and great ladies over there!
This next one is ME.. imagine that!
I don't scrap myself that much...
I did this one for a DT call and combined it for the Survivor contest at Scrappin_Fun. I love using PINK! OH, and btw, this was used with SCRAPS.. cool huh.
I've got enough scraps to make about 100 layouts.
This one is of my sweetie Lukas.
Used a Sketch posted on http://www.scrappygirldesigns.com/
The sketch was designed by Elsie Flannigan.

A little funny
This morning I'm upstairs getting dressed and I hear this noise..
so I walk downstairs to find Jacob in the laundry room. He had the washer
opened and was pulling out clothes, so I asked him "what are you doing?"
He responded with "putting the wet clothes in the dryer" so I asked "why
are you doing that?" (because he's never done that before, nor have I asked him to--
heck he's only four.)
He responded with "I just 'feeled' like it." Too funny!
He did know how to turn the dryer on.. so I think we are moving in the right
direction!
Now, to make him "feeled" like folding them!

Our new addition

This is Bama.. named after the state of Alabama.
Steve brought him home this weekend as a surprise
for the boys. Jacob LOVES this little kitten!
He is pretty sweet, except at 3:00am when he wants
to play and I want to sleep.

Few cards

This card is for my neice Sara.
She turned 13 a week ago. I'll see her
this weekend and she'll get her card and
cute little purse I got her.
This is just a generic card.. using up
some old scrap stuff.

ALL about Lukas
Here are a couple recent layouts.
I worked on this one last week sometime.
It's for a Survivor game I'm in.
I was sent an envie of goodies to use on a layout
(all players get the same envy) .. We create a layout
and email it to the host of the game.... which was the winner
from the last round of survivor.
This one is for my Design Team... the challenge is to use only Bazzill -- no embellishments
or patterned paper.
And finally.. this one is for a sketch contest.
IT's hard to read the journaling
Here's what it says:
Lukas loves to draw, paint
or do anything crafty.
The only problem we have
Is the fact that he likes
to draw on everything….
Floor, walls, furniture.
We are trying to teach him
to draw and paint only on the
paper we give to him, but I don’t
think he’s buying it! All I can say is,
“Thank Goodness for the Magic Eraser!”
